1. What's the best way to improve at drawing?

Hands down - the best way to improve at drawing, is simply put... through practice and repetition. If you are passionate enough about drawing (like with anything in life) - then you will be persistent and determined enough to stick with it, enjoying the process, and ultimately succeeding.

And yes, this definitely involves actively seeking out new ways to learn and improve at your craft. This website was designed specifically for this... it's here to help you with fun and easy lessons - while at the same time - encourage you to 'branch off' and tap into your own creativity.

2. Can you please create a lesson about ***fill in the blank***?

Wow - this is a common question and I'm very happy you asked! Currently, I'm playing a bit of catch up, and working hard at a couple other drawing/website-related projects. So, while I can't promise you that I will make a lesson based on your recommendation - chances are - it's something that I will be happy to get to in due time! :-)

3. Can you please draw me a picture of ***fill in the blank***?

I'd love to help you out - but again... these days I'm super involved in developing two other drawing-related projects (aside from this site!). I'm thinking though - it might be neat to offer a service where I help touch up your drawings? Let me know what you think of this!

4. May I please use an image from your site?

If you intend on using the image for non-commercial purposes, such as for a school project, please feel free. And be sure to let me know how the image was helpful to you as well. Send me an example of the project that you used it for. That would be great!

If you intend on using the image for commercial/business purposes, I ask that you please contact me directly, so that I may review your intentions, and then give you an answer afterwards.

5. What kind of drawing software do you use?

I use different kinds of drawing software - Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, GIMP, etc. My favorite though - is Photoshop. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it - I think anyway... you really can't go wrong.

6. What sort of graphics tablet would you recommend?

If you're just starting out - get yourself a Wacom Bamboo. If you really want to get into it, go for a Wacom Intuos 3 or 4. And size-wise - get an 8 x 6 (medium) - not too big... not too small!

7. How can I receive updates to your site, Jeff?

Happy you asked! To receive updates to the site... new lessons, new categories, new 'something else'... use any and all of the following:
