About this Site and Its Creator

Hello, and welcome again to the site!

You know, for as far back as I can remember (or as long as I've been able to hold a pencil) - drawing has been my number one passion.

From animals to people to monsters to well, you name it! - the desire to imagine and create, is something that came naturally to me - at a very young age.

Kicking off on December the 1st, in 2007 - How-to-Draw-Cartoons-Online.com (DrawCartoonsOnline.com) began with a very clear goal...

Creating simple-yet-effective cartoon drawing lessons, in hopes to help as many people as possible, become better at drawing.

And yes of course, I also wanted to help inspire people to get into drawing, as well.

Today, the site sees over 1 million page views each month - with over half a million unique visitors.

It ranks in the top 1% of all sites on the Internet. In the Alexa.com widget to the left, you can see the site's score. Anything under 1,000,000 is pretty good! :-)

What's best about this though, is that the site continues to grow - even now.

Circa 2007

With new lessons (and categories as well) being added... there's always something fresh to look forward to, fun artistic exercises - helping you improve at drawing.

And yes...

Helping others to develop their skills, improve, and reach their goals as artists, is a truly rewarding feeling. It makes working on this web site all the more enjoyable. Truly - there have been so many wonderful comments and feedback.

I can't tell you just how much it means to me.

Oh - and by the way, the image on the left, shows how the site looked, when it first got started.

It's come quite a way, over the years! :-)

While drawing will always be my number 1 love...

I've got some other interests too.

Travel is one. So far, I've traveled to 14 different countries around the globe, and look forward to exploring many more some day.

One of my favorite trips ever, was to Egypt.

First setting foot inside the great pyramid of Giza...

What an amazing experience that was!

Back to the drawing though, I'd really like to say something...

If learning how to draw is something you're truly passionate about, than no matter what...

Do it!

While it does take hard work and dedication to improve at anything in life - drawing most definitely included...

Always remember that it's your passion for what you're doing that will ultimately be the driving force to your success.

Do what you love, and love what you do...

That's the ticket.

And so...

I wish you all the best with your own drawing-related goals, and also... I really hope you find this site - the many lessons within it, and the many lessons soon to come...

Helpful. :-)

And remember too...

If you ever have a question or comment - or even if you just want to say 'hello', please do. You can send me a message here.

To Your Success with Drawing!
